delinquent taaces, penalties and interest. The firm will ensure that all <br />potential litigation is passed through the Taac Office for review. The <br />firm will pursue all accounts placed in suit to judgment and sale as <br />expediently as possible. <br />• Provide professional legal counsel to the District and/or Tux <br />Assessor-Collector in all matters pertaining to the issues of property <br />taxation and public law. <br />• Notify the Tax Assessor-Collector, the Appraisal District and/or <br />other appropriate parties or governmental agencies/departments of <br />errors, double assessments, name and address corrections or any other <br />discrepancies. <br />• Intervene on behalf of the District in all suits for tazxes filed by any <br />taxing unit on property located within the District and having <br />delinquent taxes due and owing. <br />• Represent the District in all courts of competent jurisdiction in <br />regard to any ad valorem tax matter. <br />• Provide monthly status reports to the District. Said reports sha11 <br />include, but not be limited to, summaries of the delinquent tax <br />accounts referred, number (as well as the total dollar amount) <br />collected before suit and collected after suit had been filed, aging of <br />suits filed, and aging of taac accounts remaining unpaid which will be <br />grouped by year of the original assessment. <br />• Receive computer tapes from the Tax Office of delinquent tax <br />accounts on a weekly or monthly basis. The Firm will make at least <br />four (4) mass mailings, all of the necessary specialized mailings, <br />telephone contacts, suit filings and any other action wtrich will result <br />in all applicable taxes, interest, penalties, and fees due the District <br />being paid in full by the delinquent taxpayer. <br />• Have the capacity to accurately calculate all necessary interest, <br />penalties, and fees based upon various dates of delinquency, pre- and <br />post-petition bankruptcies, date of judgment, 33.07 notice or lack <br />thereof, delinquent installments, failure to make second-half <br />payments, defenals and abatemems, delinquencies having certain <br />exemptions and all other various calculations necessary to arrive at <br />the correct amount of tax lien subject to foreclosure. <br />• File all bankruptcy claims, amended claims, administrative claims, <br />represent the District in all hearings, appeal adverse decisions that are <br />contrary to prevalent law, and pursue taxes, penalties, interest and <br />fees not discharged. <br />• File, serve and administer tax warrant seizures; make all proper <br />kclion I- Eucutire Sumary - PW 3 <br />
