Executive Summary -6 City ojParis Proposa! - Executive Summary DELINQUENT TAX OPERATIONS Comprehensive Collection Program: We will provide comprehensive delinquent tax collection services and legal representation for any tax lawsuit, property assessment, real estate matter, or dispute as it pertains to the collection of property taxes. Aggressive Collection Strategy: All eligible accounts will be placed in an active collection program, ranging from collection calls and multiple notification letters, to filing tax suits and conducting tax seizures, foreclosures, and sales. Taxpayer Notification and Personal Coutact: We believe that many taxpayers need to receive more than a collection letter to prompt them to payment. For this reason, we supplement our mass and tazgeted mailings carried out during the yeaz with collection calls to taacpayers to resolve their delinquent accounts. Phone Collections: We operate a full-time call center to enhance collections through a high volume of personal contacts with all eligible delinquent taYpayers and lienholders. Automated Dialer: We have created a statewide collection unit that utilizes an automated dialer that can place thousands of calls a day to delinquent taxpayers. This technology, known as a "predictive dialer," has been used by commercial collection agencies for years. The system automatically dials pre-loaded accounts and instantaneously assigns calls to a collector when someone answers the call. Property Seizures (Business Personal Property): Due to the perishable nature of business personal property, the city's tax assessor-collector and our firm will employ tax warrants on a regulaz basis as a means of increasing collections. Litigation Services: Linebarger Heazd will provide an effective litigation program for the city which is responsive to the desires of the city and tax office. The City of Pazis can rely upon Linebazger Heazd to file quality lawsuits that are well reseazched and moved through the . litigation process in a timely manner. Foreclosures and Tax Sales: At times it becomes necessary to reduce a judgment to sale.
