MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />November 13, 2000 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, met in regular session, <br />Monday, November 13, 2000, 6:00 P. M., Paris Junior College, Applied <br />Technology Building, Room 1016, 2400 Clarksville Street, Paris, Texas. Mayor <br />Michael Pfiester called the meeting to order with the following Council <br />Members present: John F. Bell, Richard Manning, Joe E. McCarthy, John A. <br />Carter, Jr., Kevin Gray and Benny Plata. Also present were City Manager <br />Michael E. Malone, City Attorney Larry Schenk, and City Clerk Mattie <br />Cunningham. <br />Invocation was given by Gene Anderson, Director of Finance for the City of <br />Paris. <br />Mayor Pfiester asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of previous <br />meetings, there being none, the minutes were approved as presented. <br />City Manager Malone advised the City Council that they had been furnished a <br />copy of the minutes of the City Council Drainage Study Committee with no <br />action being required. <br />Mayor Pfiester announced that the next item on the agenda was an ordinance <br />amending section 7-19 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, revising <br />the general construction permit fees. This item had been tabled at a previous <br />meeting. <br />A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, seconded by Councilman <br />McCarthy, to bring the above item from the table along with Agenda Item No. <br />4-C, an ordinance amending Section 11-12 of the Code of Ordinances of the <br />City of Paris, revising the electrical permit fees, and Agenda Item No.4-D, an <br />ordinance amending Section 25-17 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of <br />Paris, revising the plumbing permit and inspection fees. The motion carried <br />7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2000-051 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT SECTION 7-19 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, <br />CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE GENERAL CONSTRUCTION <br />PERMIT FEES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; <br />
