CITY OF PARIS <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />BID SPECIFICATIONS FOR FURNISffiNG <br />FLEXIBLE BASE MATERIAL (WHITE ROCK) <br />Requirements• <br />It is estimated that 3,000 tons of Flexible Base Material (White Rock) will be required in the <br />operation of the Street Division of Public Works during the period of February 1, 2002 through <br />February 1, 2003. <br />Exact quantities cannot be determined, but estimates aze given as shown above. Quantities may be <br />increased or decreased to meet the requirement of the operations of the Street Division of Public <br />Works during the period shown above. A muumum is not guazanteed. <br />Saeci£cations: <br />Flexible Base Material (White Rock) must conform to Item 247, 1993 edition of "The State <br />Department ofHighways and Public Transportation Specifications" or later edition. Materials must <br />be from an approved SDHPT material source. Bidder must provide documentation that material has <br />been tested and meets SDHPT specifications. <br />Material will be sampled randomly during delivery and testing by the City of Paris. Failure of <br />material to meet specifications will be reason for termination of contract and/or removal from bid <br />list. <br />Materials must be from Custer, Oklahoma Pit, designated as crushed White Rock base complying <br />with the specifications which are attached. <br />Deliverv• <br />Material shall be delivered by truck to the Department of Public Works Service Center, 50 W. <br />Hickory Street, Paris, Texas 75460. <br />Due to limited storage space, the City of Paris will place individual orders of approximately 500 to <br />1,000 tons of material during the life of the contract. The supplier will begin delivery within 72 hours <br />of placing order, and will complete the order within 14 calendaz days. City forces will stockpile <br />material as it is delivered. <br />Bid price, per ton, will be F.O.B., Department of Public Works Service Center, Paris, Texas 75460. <br />
