Minutes of Regular Meeting <br />Paris-Lamar County Board of Health <br />The Pazis-Lamar County Board of Health held its regular meeting on Wedneaday, January 9, <br />2002, at Christus St. Joseph North. Board members in attendance included Dr. Robert Mosely, <br />Dr. Caroline Wilson, Dr. Wally Kraft, Dr .Edward Clark and Ws. Ann Nonnent. Others in <br />attendance incfuded Mr. ATichael Malone, Judge Chuck Superville, Mr. Anthony $ethel, W. Paul <br />Swasko and Mrs. Carla Rhodes. <br />The meeting was called _io order at 7:10 A.M. The minuYes of the previous nneeting were <br />approved, with motion made by Dr. Mosely and second by Dr. Wilson. <br />Mr. Bethel passed out reports for the last three months to the Boazd and went over the reports <br />with Board members. <br />Dr. Clark discussed immun+zar;~n statistics and the shortage ef Tetanus and PCY7 vaccines. Also <br />discussed audlt of Day Care unmunization records. <br />Judge Superville informed the board that Vickie Bonham is the new board member to replace <br />Mrs. Ellis's positioq and asked Mr. Bethel to inform Mrs. Bonham of board meetings. <br />Mr. Bethel informed bnard-thaYlhe i3ealth I)epaz3meat has new nomputers and .that they are to be <br />installed by TGscas Department of Heslth, buf date of instailation hasn't been scheduled. Dr. Kraft <br />requested contact number so he could get a date to install computers. <br />Dr. Clark requested xhat-text-positinn a~penedatI3ealthDapatttnent be filled with an employee <br />that can speak 3panish. Mr. Bethel informed board that the Health bepartmerrt has two Spanish <br />translators and WIC has two Spanish translators. <br />Mr. Swasko discussed news letter "Healthy Communities" andsequeated #hat al] board members <br />start receivin$'rt. Discussed "Project Save" in Lamar County and their mission. <br />The next meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, February 20, 2002.
