BID SPECIFICATIONS <br />Portland Cement Concrete <br />Requirements: <br />It is estimated that 2,000 total cubic yazds of Portland Cement Concrete will be required in the <br />operarion of the various divisions of Public Works during the period of February 1, 2002 through <br />February 1, 2003. <br />Exact quantities cannot be determined, but estimates aze given as shown above. Quantiries may be <br />increased or decreased to meet the requirement of the operations of the Public Works Department <br />during the period shown above. A minimum is not guazanteed. <br />Specifications: <br />Portland Cement Concrete must conform to Item 421, 1993 edition of "The State Department of <br />Highways and Public Transportation Specifications" or later edition. <br />All materials must be from an approved SDHPT material source. Bidder must provide documentation <br />that material has been tested and meets SDHPT specifications. <br />Material will be sampled randomly during delivery and testing by the City ofParis. Failureofmaterial <br />to meet SDHPT specifications will be reason for termination ofpurchase order and/or removal from <br />bid list. <br />The Portland Cement Concrete Plant and related equipment shall be of an approved type and size that <br />will provide uniform distribution ofmaterial throughout the mass, and shall be capable ofproducing <br />concrete mix meeting the requirements of these specifications. <br />Deliverv• <br />Delivery to be made to the project sites within and neaz the City of Paris, Texas. <br />Deliveries are to be made in continuous-type mixing trucks from 0 to 8 cubic yazds as needed for <br />various Public Works construction projects. The exact cubic yards needed will be requested when <br />orders aze placed. <br />Routine deliveries will be made during the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday; <br />special deliveries willbe scheduledin advancebythe Public Works Department inorder to meetwork <br />requirements. <br />
