CITY OF PARIS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORK.S BID SPECIFICATIONS FOR FURNISHING AGGREGATE COVER STONE (TYPE B, GRADE 4, UNCOATED) Reqnirements: It is estimated that 8,000 tons of Aggregate Cover Stone (Type B, Grade 4, Uncoated) will be required in the operation of the Street Division of Public Works during the period of February 1, 2002 through February 1, 2003. Exact quantities cannot be determined, but estimates aze given as shown above. Quantities may be increased or decreased to meet the requirement of the operations of the Street Division of Public Works during the period shown above. A minimum is not guaranteed. Specifications: Aggregate Cover Stone (Type B, Grade 4, Uncoated) must conform to Item 302, 1993 edition of "The State Department of Highways and Public Transportation Specifications" or later edition. Materials must be from an approved SDHPT material source. Bidder must provide documentation that material has been tested and meets SDHPT specifications, and be compatible with CRS-2 Emulsion Asphalt. Material will be sampledrandomlyduring delivery and testing by the City ofParis. Failure ofmaterial to meet SDHPT specifications willbe reason fortermination ofcontract and/or removal frombid list. Deliverv• Material shall be delivered by truck to the Depariment of Public Works Service Center, 50 W. Hickory Street, Paris, Texas 75460. Due to limited storage space, the City of Paris will place individual orders of approximately 1,000 to 2,000 tons ofmaterial during the life of the contract. The supplier will begin delivery within 72 hours of placing order, and will complete the order of 1,000 to 2,000 tons within 14 calendaz days. City forces will stockpile material as it is delivered. Bid price, per ton, will be F.O.B., Department of Public Works Service Center, Paris, Texas 75460.
