THREE TO THE CONTRACT FOR THE MARTIN LUTHERHING, JR. DRIVE EXTENSION FROM 6TH STREET N.E. WEST TO N. MAIN STREET; MAHING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the l lth day of December, 2000, in Resolution No. 2000-181, award the contract for "Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive Extension from 6th StreetN.E. westto N. Main Street Project, " to Stephens & Sons Concrete; and, WHEREAS, the City Engineer, Shawn Napier, recommends the amendment of the contract for said project to reconcile the contract with the minor changes that have been made during the construction process and to construct box culverts where the concrete lined channel intersects with Hickory Street and providing for a net increase of $ in the contract price, for a total contract price of $ ; and, WHEREAS, the form of Change Order Na Three, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the form of Change Order Na Three to the Contract for the "Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive Extension from 6th Street N.E. west to N. Main Street Project," attached hereto as Exhibit A, to reconcile the contract with the minor changes that have been made during the construction process and to construct box culverts where the concrete lined channel intersects with Hickory Street and providing for a net increase of $ in the contract price, for a total contract price of $ , be, and the same is hereby, approved. Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, said Change Order Na Three, upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
