Served as the chairperson and/or os o member on various AWWA committees since 1975 including the Water Rates <br />~ fommittee, the Accounting Committee and the Accounting, finance and Management Controls Committee. <br />~ Professional Experience <br />Mr. Shaw has more than 30 years of experience specializing in management consulting related to public infrastrudure including <br />~ water, wastewater, salid waste and storm water. He specializes in financiol planning and analysis, financial modeling, osset <br />3 management, informatian systems technolagy, operations management, organizational analysis, performance measurement and <br />benchmarking. Mr. Shaw has performed more than 100 related financial onolyses of utilities including rate studies, financiol <br />' modeling, and review of impad and special fees. Mr. Show formerly direded KPMG Peat Marwick LLP's consulting services to <br />3 government owned utilities from 1980 thraugh 1995. Before jaining KPMG in 1980, Mr. Show was employed ot a major <br />metropalitan water ond wostewater utiliry as a Special Projeds Manoger and as the Assistant Diredor of Business where he <br />a supervised all accounting, finonce, rote, meter, information system, customer service and budget uctivities. Since, 1980, Mr. <br />3 Shaw has completed an average of 40 hours per year of training focusing on government and utility services, covering the <br />fundions of financial management, informotion systems and operations manogement. He iias been an adive participant in <br />I AWWA adivities since 1975. <br />1 Operations Management Project Experience <br />~ . SAWS Evaluation and Assessment of Water & Wastewater Operotions, San Antonio, TX; Project Manager. Providing a <br />comprehensive evaluotion and assessment of wuter and wastewater operations for the San Antonio Water System (SAWS) <br />~ as part of their Continuous Improvement Program.
