MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND <br />ZONING COMMISSION <br /> FEBRUARY 4, 2002 <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission met Monday, February 4, 2002, 5:30 <br />P.M., Paris Junior College, Applied Technology Building, Room 1016, 2400 <br />Clarksville Street, Paris, Texas with the following members present: <br /> <br />1. Reeves Hayter <br />2. Eddie Vincent <br />3. Barbara Forrest <br /> <br />4. Bobby Myers <br />5. Marshall Kent <br /> <br />Steve Methven, the building official was also present. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Reeves Hayter. <br /> <br />The minutes from the December 3, 2001, and January 7, 2002, regular <br />planning and zoning meetings were approved with a motion by <br />Marshall Kent and seconded by Bobby L. Myers. Motion carried by <br />a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Public Hearing to consider the petition of Joe Chamy for a change in <br />zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a One-Family Dwelling <br />District No. 3 (SF-3) on Tract 1 and to a Planned Development District <br />(PD-b) Housing Development on Tract 2, Lot 2, City Block 308, being <br />the 500 Block of 19th Street SW. <br /> <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br /> <br />Joe Chamy spoke in favor of the petition stating that he will purchase <br />the 20 acres pending the zoning change. Mr. Chamy said the 9 acres <br />zoned Planned Development would be used for a Senior Living <br />Complex. A site plan was presented showing the project of 19 four plex <br />units for a total of 76 units. The project would have a swimming pool, <br />library, and health facility. The 68 single story one-bedroom units will <br />be energy efficient, and have 750 square feet. The 8 two-bedroom <br /> <br /> <br />
