Airport Advisory Board <br />March 19, 2002 <br />Page 2 <br />This item to remain on the table until the next meeting at the request <br />of Eric Clifford. <br />VL Discussion of and Consider Possible Action on Recommendations to the <br />City Council regarding a Request by Larry Townes for Additional <br />Land to Build a Parking Lot and New Hangar: <br />A motion was made by Vic Ressler and seconded by James Proctor to <br />bring this item from the table. The motion passed unanimously. <br />The board recommends a helicopter landing spot be designated and be <br />marked appropriately on the south end of the parking ramp. A <br />grounding rod will have to be installed at the helipad for refueling. It <br />will be necessary to get this approved by TxDot Aviation before the <br />request from Mr. Townes can be considered. <br />VIL Discussion of Access Road on Northeast Part of Cox Field: <br />A motion was made by Eric Clifford and seconded by Vic Ressler to <br />bring this item from the table. The motion carried on called vote. <br />It is recommended that the City Council consider opening an access <br />road to the airport property from the Old Sylvan Road. The airport <br />boundary should be surveyed and the location of any old county road <br />determined. J.W. Ashmore so moved, Rod Kosterman seconded and <br />the item passed unanimously. <br />VIIL Recommended Agenda Items for the Next Board Meeting: <br />A. Proper identification/recognition of airport namesake, Charlie <br />Mac Cox. <br />B. New members for the Advisory Board <br />C. Relocation of airport marker. <br />IX.
