MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2012 <br />5:30 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />The regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, November 5, <br />2012, was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Dennis Chalaire, Chairman. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Dennis Chalaire <br />James Price <br />Mike Folmar <br />Richard Hunt <br />Keith Flowers <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Holland Harper <br />Jerry Akers <br />C. Also present were Shawn Napier, Director of Engineering, Planning and <br />Development; and Sue Lancaster, Council Liaison. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (October 1, 2012) <br />Motion was made by James Price, seconded by Mike Folmar to approve the meeting <br />minutes for October l, 2012. Motion carried 5-0. <br />3. Public hearing and consideration of and action to consider petition of Lee Wilson for a <br />change in zoning from a Commercial District (C) to a Commercial District (C) with a <br />Specific Use Permit (54) mini storage warehouse, on Part of Lot S-A, City Block 307, being <br />number 2685 North Main Street. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />A. No one spoke in favor. <br />Don Shelton, P.O. Box 183, Petty, represented the property owner, spoke in favor <br />of the petition. Mr. Shelton stated he is here as a friend to Mr. Wilson. Mr. Shelton <br />further stated when they originally built the first storage building they put in a fire <br />hydrant, which was required at the time and now they were told they needed the <br />zoning change. Mr. Shelton further stated he is here to help move the process <br />
