MINUTES OF TFI~E REGULAR MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND <br />ZONING COMMISSION <br /> APRIL 1, 2002 <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission met Monday, April 1, 2002, 5:30 P.M., <br />Paris Junior College, Applied Technology Building, Room 1016, 2400 <br />Clarksville Street, Paris, Texas with the following members present: <br /> <br />1. Reeves Hayter <br />2. Cleveland Thomas <br />3. Barbara Forrest <br /> <br />4. Louis Yates, Jr. <br />5. Bobby L. Myers <br /> <br />Steve Methven, the building official was also present. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Reeves Hayter. <br /> <br />The minutes from the March 4, 2002, regular planning and zoning <br />meetings were approved with a motion by Bobby Myers and seconded <br />by Cleveland Thomas. Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Public Hearing to consider the request to abandon the City's interest in <br />and designate as closed a portion of Price Street beginning at the west <br />boundary line of N. Main Street west approximately 216 feet to the east <br />boundary line of 1st Street N-W. <br /> <br />Motion was made to bring this item from the table by Bobby Myers and <br />seconded by Louis Yates. his item was not removed from the table. <br /> <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br /> <br />There was no one to speak in opposition to or in favor of the petition. <br /> <br />Memorandums from the City Engineer, Police Chief, Fire Chief, and <br />EMS Director regarding the street closing were given to each <br />Commission member. <br /> <br /> <br />
