May 8, 2002 <br />City of Paris <br />135 SE ls` Street <br />Paris, TX 75460 <br />ATTENTION: Shawn Napier, City Engineer <br />REFERENCE: Cope Drive Sewer Extension <br />HEI #180025-28 <br />Dear Mr. Napier: <br />On May 7, 2002, the City of Paris received bids far the above referenced project. Six bids were <br />received, with the lowest being that of L.C. Brown Construction, in the amount of $497,870.06. A <br />bid tabulation is attached for your review. <br />We have verified the mathematical accuracy and completeness ofthe various bids, and have verified <br />that the bonding company is licensed in Texas. The low bid appears to conform to the contract <br />document requirements. Based upon the Statement of Bidder's Qualifications, and prior experience, <br />we believe the low bidder to be responsive and responsible. <br />We therefore recommend award of this project to L.C. Brown Construction in the amount of <br />$497,870.06. If the City concurs with this recommendation, please sign the attached three original <br />Notice of Award forms.
