The following information is presented to illustrate the financial status of the Paris
EMS for the time period of October 01, 2001 thru March 31, 2002.
Current FY
Previous FY
Difference
Si nificance
Call Volume
3817
3345
472
14.1% Increase
Debits
$1,335,206.50
1,017,670.50
317,536
31.2%Increase
This table illustrates call statistics. Call volume has increased by 472 calls or 14.1%
for the same time period. Call volume averaged 20.85 calls per day during this
time period with a peak volume day of 41 calls.
Debits increased by $317,546 or 31.2%. This can be attributed to increases in call
volume and our charges for service profile.
Current FY
Pro'ected FY
Difference
Si nificance
Cash Credits
783,567.67
662,500
121,067.67
18.3%Increase
Cash credits collected were $783, 567.67 as of March 31, 2002. Revenue
projections had anticipated $662,500 during the same time period. Therefore,
revenue collections were 18.3% above projections. The revenue projection
amount is an estimate based historical information of call volume and types of
payment sources.
Ex enses Maintenance/O erations are 5.4% above ro'ections
Expenses associated with Maintenance/Operations were $87,501 or 5.4% above
budget projections for the time period of October 01, 2001 thru March 31, 2002.
This is primarily because of increased personnel cost associated with workers
comp and overtime expenses as a result injuries and iliness. The net effect for
this time period is a reduction of the anticipated shortfall in the amount of
$33,566.67.
2
