The No Parking request on NE 32nd between Pine Mill Road and Lamar Avenue would serve no valid purpose at this time. I talked with the Fire Chief and the Police Chief and we are not aware of any problems for fire trucks, ambulances or police vehicles using these streets. Chief Grooms said even if there were vehicles on both sides of the street his widest truck would be able to get through. I do not recommend this restricted parking zone. I will get back with you on Traffic Commission member attendance. I think you should go ahead and place the requested Stop Signs from our agenda on the council agenda. Most of the signs are already in place under the chief and engineers emergency powers and the time is about to run out on the MLK signs being legal. The request for the one on Carson Lane at Johnson Woods came from the mayor. This is a T-intersection and the law requires Carson to Yield to Johnson Woods. We had no reported accidents there during the last twelve months.
