Paris Municipal Band Commission Minutes <br />April 15, 2002 <br />Page 2 <br />On a motion by Albert Nichol, seconded by James Brunette, the 2002 band <br />season practice and performance schedule was finalized for June 14, 21, 28; <br />July 3(in Noyse Stadium), 12 and 19. All concerts will be held in Bywaters Park <br />except July 3rd <br />There was no specific discussion of music for the 2002 season. Tom Nuegent <br />did mention that he had some music in mind and would follow up with the <br />purchase of such. <br />Albert Nichol provided a flyer that would be printed into a poster promoting the <br />concerts. Discussion followed regarding advertising in The Paris News and the <br />Dollarsaver Shopper. Ads will be placed in both. Linda Suarez will check on <br />getting a discounted price in the Dollarsaver Shopper. <br />The following dates were set for future Paris Municipal Band Commission <br />meetings: August 1, January 2 and May 15. <br />Discussion then followed regarding the replacement of the expired terms of <br />James Brunette and Edmond Castleberry, both of whom have expressed an <br />interest in renewing their membership on the Commission. In addition to their <br />names, the Commission will propose the names of Dick Logee and Bobby <br />Thomas. The Mayor of Paris will appoint individuals to fill the expired terms. <br />In other business, Sally Wright volunteered to check on City Personnel <br />availability for set up and tear down for each concert.
