<br />RESOLUTION NO.
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, RATIFYING THE EXECUTION OF THE GRANTEE
<br />SUPPLEMENTAL ACCEPTANCE NOTICE FOR ACCEPTANCE OF THE
<br />TEXAS NARCOTICS CONTROL PROGRAM GRANT AWARD; MAHING
<br />OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT;
<br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the l lth day of March,
<br />2002, in Resolution No. 2002-052, authorize a supplemental grant application to the Office of the
<br />Governor, Criminal Justice Division, for a Texas Narcotics Control Program Grant and,
<br />WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, has issued its
<br />supplemental Grant Award entitled "Regional Controlled Substance Apprehension Program (Task
<br />Force)," No. DB-01-A10-13854-03, for the period beginning June 1, 2001, and ending May 31,
<br />2002, in the total supplemental award of $8,351.00, requiring the City ofParis and other Task Force
<br />participants to provide $2,122.00 in the form of cash, for a total grant amount of $394,832.00,
<br />requiring the City of Paris and other Task Force participants to provide $131,612.00 in total cash
<br />match; and,
<br />WHEREAS, acceptance of the same must occur within forty-five (45) days of the date of
<br />said award, which occurred on April 10, 2002; and,
<br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests ofthe citizens ofParis thatthe acceptance
<br />of said supplemental grant award be ratified and that the City of Paris continue to improve the
<br />Regional Controlled Substance Apprehension Program in the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
<br />approved.
<br />Section 2. Thatthe execution ofthe Grantee Supplemental Acceptance Notice for acceptance
<br />ofthe Texas Narcotics Control Program Grantentitled "Regional Controlled Substance Apprehension
<br />Program (Task Force)," No. DB-01-A10-13854-03, for the period beginning June 1, 2001, and
<br />ending May 31, 2002, in the total supplemental award of $8,351.00, requiring the City of Paris and
<br />other Task Force participants to provide $2,122.00 in the form of cash, for a total grant amount of
<br />$394,832.00, requiring the City of Paris and other Task Force participants to provide $131,612.00
<br />in total cash match, is hereby in all things ratified.
