MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY MARCH 13. 2013 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Paul Denney, <br />Chairman 12:10 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: Paul Denney, Douglas Cox, Britin Bostick, <br />and David Stewart <br />B. The following members were absent: Ben Vaughn, Laurie Redus, and Nancy <br />Anderson <br />C. Also present: Cheri Bedford, Main Street Manager and Historic Preservation <br />Officer, Karol Lyn Moore, owner of 133 Clarksville <br />2. Approi�al of minutes from February 25, 2013. Motion was made by Britin Bostick, <br />seconded by Douglas Cox Motion carried 4-0 <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificate ofAppropriateness: <br />A. 131 Lamar Avenue: Karol Lyn Moore <br />Karolyn presented the signage request for the SOHO Spa Bar. She requests <br />put her window signage on both sides of the door, but was open to <br />suggestions. She stated it will be 33" in diameter. It was discussed placing the <br />sign on one side, and she was agreeable. There was discussion as to the <br />removal of the Bowden's Sign or alternatives. <br />Motion made by Britin Bostick and seconded by David Stewart to approve <br />sign design no larger than 33 inches in diameter, Motion Carried 4-0 <br />4. Discussion of and possible action regarding the following structures considered by code <br />inspectors to be in violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the <br />City of Paris, Paris, Texas, entitled "Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and <br />Structures," to determine whether such buildings or structures can be rehabilitated and <br />designated on the National Register of Historic Places, as a recorded Texas Historic <br />Landmark, or as historic property as designated by the City Council of the City of Paris. <br />A. 778 E.
