memo�andum <br />TO: Mayor & Council <br />FROM: John Godwin, City Manager <br />SUBJECT: TAX ATTORNEYS <br />DATE: Apri12, 2013 <br />BACKGROLJND: At the City Council meeting of March llth, city staff asked Council to <br />consider moving our delinquency business to the law firm of Tracy Pounders. The City Council <br />approved the request and directed the city attorney to draft a professional services agreement <br />with Mr. Pounders. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: An agreement was reached with Mr. Pounders. <br />BUDGET: Costs for these services generally derive from attorney collection activity. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the professional services agreement between the City of Paris <br />and the law firm of Tracy Pounders for the collection of delinquent taxes. <br />�4 <br />
