� RESOLUTIOIV 1V0. 2013-013 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVIIVG A PROCLAMATION DECLARING THE MONTH OF APRIL AS FAIR HOUSING MONTH; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIOIVS RELATED TO THE SUBjECT; AND PROVIDING A1V EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris supports Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, popularly known as the Federal Fair Housing Act, which prohibits discrimination in housing; and, WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris has executed a Proclamation proclaiming the month of April as "Fair Housing Month" in the City of Paris which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and, WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds that it is in the best interests of the City of Paris and its citizens that the City Council show support of the Fair Housing law by approving said proclamation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the Proclamation proclaiming April as "Fair Housing Month" in the City of Paris in the form shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, be, and the same is hereby, approved. Section 3.
