The <br />motion failed with three ayes, four nays. <br />Mayor Pfiester announced that the City Council would take a short break at <br />7:30 P. M. <br />Mayor Pfiester reconvened the meeting at 7:38 P. M. <br />Mayor Pfiester announced that the group that was trying to reach an agreement <br />was unable to work out a solution to their problem. <br />City Manager Malone called for consideration of and action on an ordinance <br />amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, changing the zoning from a General <br />Retail District (GR) to a General Retail District (GR) With Specific Use Permit <br />(3) Auto Laundry on Lot 21, City Block 249. <br />A motion was made by Councilwoman Neeley, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem <br />Manning, to refer the zoning petition back to the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission. The motion carried 6 ayes, 1 nay, Councilman McCarthy voting <br />no. <br />Mayor Pfiester declared the public hearing open to consider the request on the <br />abandonment of a fifteen (15) foot alley in Block 4 of the S. J. Wright Addition <br />between Bonham Street (U. S. Hwy 82) and W. Kaufman Street beginning at <br />the west boundary line of 18th Street S. W., west to the east boundary line of <br />19th Street S. W. <br />No one appeared for or against the abandonment of a fifteen foot alley in Block <br />4 of the S. J. Wright Addition between Bonham Street and W. Kaufman Street. <br />Mayor Pfiester declared the public hearing closed. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2002-031 <br />
