THERE HAS <br />BEEN A PETITION PRESENTED TO THE CITY CLERK SIGNED BY TEN <br />OF THE PROPERTY OWNERS ON THE 200 FOOT NOTICE WHICH WILL <br />REQUIRE A THREE QUARTER VOTE OF THE PLANNING ,h3qD ZONING <br />AND THE CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE THiS PETITION. NOT1CE WAS <br />SENT TO THIRTEEN PROPERTY OWNERS IN THE 200 FOOT NOTICE <br />RULE. <br /> <br />LEANN SARTOR IS REQUESTING A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT NO. (3) <br />AUTO LAUNDRY ON THIS PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2926 I_,AMAR. <br />MS. SARTOR PLANS TO BUILD A CAR WASH THERE. THIS PROPERTY <br />HAS BEEN VACANT FOR MANY YEARS AND IS A PRIME LOCATION <br />FOR DEVELOPMENT. THERE ARE NUMEROUS CAR WASHES IN THE <br />AREA AND I WOULD RECOMMEND APPROVAL. THIS ITEM WAS <br />HEARD BY P&Z LAST MONTH BUT WAS SENT BACK BY COUNCIL AS <br />I FAILED TO NOTIFY ONE PROPERTY OWNER. <br /> <br />DONNA SWINDLE IS REQUESTING NEIGHBORHOOD SEI?[VICE <br />ZONING ON THIS LOT LOCATED AT 664 S.E. 24TM. MS. SWINDLE IS <br />PLANNING TO OPEN A BEAUTY SALON THERE. THE PARKING <br />WOULD NEED TO BE ADDRESSED AND ALSO THE HOURS OF <br />OPERATION. SOME OF THE NEIGHBORS IN THE AREA HAVE <br />EXPRESSED CONCERNS ABOUT THE LATE HOURS SHE MAY BE <br />THINKING ABOUT OPERATING THE BUSINESS. <br /> <br />MACK ROSS IS REQUESTING SINGLE FAMILY THREE (SF-3) ZONING <br />ON THESE LOTS LOCATED IN THE 3000 BLOCK OF AIKIN DRIVE. MR. <br />ROSS PLANS TO BUILD SMALLER LOTS THERE WITH SMALL HOMES <br />TO BE BUILT ON THEM. DIFFERENT ZONING HAS BEEN ATTEMPTED <br />ON THESE LOTS BEFORE BUT HAS FAILED BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS <br />WANTED TWO FAMILY DWELLINGS THERE. MR. ROSS IS PLANNING <br />TO BUILD SEWER TO SERVE THIS AREA AND IF THERE WERE NO <br />OPPOSITION I WOULD RECOMMEND APPROVAL. <br /> <br /> <br />
