Diviaion 9-J <br />Special Coating <br />3PECIAL FLOOR COATING <br />GENERAL: Furnish all labor and material and required equipment to <br />provide "Stained Waxed Concrete" as herein specified shown on <br />plans and scheduled. Staining and waxing done by experienced <br />craftsman who are familiar with the products specified. As work <br />progresses, waste shall be removed from the site, keeping the <br />building and site clean and orderly. <br />GVARANTEE: As called for in the General Conditions, the Contractor <br />shall guarantee the work of this division to be free of defects in <br />material and workmanship. <br />SCOPE: This contractor shall furnish all labor and material to <br />stain and wax all floors called for on Finish Schedule. <br />MITERIALS: All colors shall be approved by the Architect. The <br />base bid shall be on the materials specified and any substitutions <br />shall be bid as an alternate. <br />3TONE COLD STAIN: Shall be Kemiko Stone Tone Stain that shall be <br />mixed with water and given two applications and shall cover <br />approximately 400 sq. ft. per gallon when twice. <br />EXCEL 6150 SEALER AND TRAFFIC GRIP: Following the Stain Code, <br />power wash, rinse and dry. Spray on 2 coats and allow 72 hrs. to <br />cure. Coverage rate may range from 200 to 500 square feet per <br />gallon. <br />Second coat shall have add-in ERCEL TRAFFIC GRIP as per <br />manufacturer's direction. <br />PREPARATION OF SIIRFACES: Floors to be stained and waxed shall be <br />free of paint, texture, oils or grease and other soils and stains. <br />This Sub-Contractor shall work with the General Contractor and <br />secure proper surfaces for the floor treatment. Installation of <br />any materidl shall be construed as on exceptance of the surface as <br />being satisfactory and this Sub-Contractor shall be responsible <br />for any defects. This Sub-Contractor shall provide taped on paper <br />wall protection on all adjoining walls. <br />APPLICATION: To a clean floor apply as follows: <br />STAIN: Apply stain with an all-plastic pump-up garden <br />sprayer. Mix stain with equal parts of water. <br />Spray on the first application leaving "Full moisture, <br />Short of puddles." Let the floor dry. Do not <br />remove residue and do not walk on a damp floor. <br />s _s <br />
