Divisinn 10 <br />Specialties <br />SPECIALTIES <br />GENERAL: Furnish and install complete items shown on plans <br />and herein specified. Arrangements shall be made with <br />_ the carpenter to provide anchors, bucks, and blocking as <br />required to support each item. <br />GUARANTEE: All labor and material in this division shall <br />be guaranteed as called for in the "General Requirements" <br />SHOP DRAWINGS: Furnish 4 copies of manufacturer's brochures <br />or shop drawings of each item specified herein as called <br />for under "General Requirements". <br />SCOPE: Furnish and install complete all specialties shown <br />on plans and herein specified. Provide all required bolts <br />and fasteners for proper assembly and anchorage. This <br />division shall include: toilet partitions, and fire " <br />extinguishers. Furnish and install the following toilet <br />and bath accessories in the quantities specified or as . <br />shown on plan, including: shower rod, shower seat, mirrors, <br />grab bars, soap and grab, towel bars, toilet paper dispensers, <br />and paper towel dispensers. Toilet room accessories shall <br />comply.with the requirements of A.D.A. <br />TOILET ACCESSORIES: Furnish and install the following <br />under the direction of the General Contractor and in <br />cooperation with other trades. <br />MIRRORS: Furnish and install over lavatories in toilets <br />(2 in-all) mirrors approximately 36" wide and 42" high. <br />fihe above wall mirrors shall be selected 1/4" thick selected <br />glass with ground edges and secured in place with concealed <br />hanger clips. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR HANDICAPPED PERSONS: As shown <br />on plan, certain toilets are designated for handicapped. <br />Each such toilet shall meet the State & ADA Requirements: <br />Each such stall shall be 3'-0" door and be 4'-11" deep <br />x 5'-0" wide and shall have an out-swing door. <br />GRAB BARS FOR HANDICAPPED: Furnish and install at each <br />toilet designated as a handicapped toilet, 2 each handicap <br />toilet, one 36" long and one 42" long 1-1/4" round chrome <br />grab bar with 1-1/2" clearance from wall, mounted 33" from <br />floor. Grab bar shall be designed for this purpose and <br />shall be anchored to support a 250 pound weight. Note <br />that (2) toilets shall receive grab bars. <br />FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: Furnish and install where directed <br />(3 in-all) dry chemical multi-purpose ABC class rated, <br />similar to J& J Industries, Cosmic "E" Model 5 ABC Under- <br />writers Laboratory rating 2A-10BC. The above is distributed <br />by R.J. DeWees & Son Inc., Dallas, Texas. Under completion <br />of the building, it shall be the responsibility of the <br />General Contractor to check and make sure extinguishers <br />and properly serviced and ready for use. <br />rJ~J <br />
