Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />July 8, 2002 <br />Page 12 <br />Rex Adams, 3925 Alpine, came forward stating that he has been a business man <br />and a resident in Paris for the past thirty years. He said that Faulk and Foster <br />approached him about eighteen months ago and put his lot under option, which <br />is south of the Big Tex lot. Mr. Adams said at the time, he understood the size <br />of the lot would fit the zoning. The city decided that the zoning was not strict <br />enough, and rewrote the zoning and put the setback ordinance in and it more or <br />less eliminated his lot. That is fine to do that, but if you turn his lot down, <br />because of the setback, he did not think it was fair to give it to anybody else. He <br />wanted to be treated as fair as any other citizen. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2002-035 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE SITE PLAN FOR A PLANNED <br />DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT-COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT UNIT (PD-6), <br />PREVIOUSLY ESTABLISHED BY THE ADOPTION OF ZONING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2002-016, FOR LOTS 8 AND 9, BLOCK 1, PINE BLUFF <br />ADDITION; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO <br />THE SUBJECT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF <br />ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE, WAS PRESENTED. <br />A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, seconded by Councilman <br />Weekly, for adoption of the ordinance, subject to the requirements of the City <br />Engineer. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, <br />to approve the minutes of previous meetings as presented.
