HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PARIS <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING <br />Thursday, March 28, 2002 <br />12:00 p.m. <br />Chairman Curtis Fendley called the meeting to order at 12:07 p.m. with the following Board <br />members present: Curtis Fendley, Jeff Hoog and Rick Poston. Also attending was Acting <br />Executive Director Denny Head and Legal Council T.K. Haynes. <br />Agenda Item 3. Receipt of the monthly financial report. Acting Executive Director Denny <br />Head, presented the financial report to the board. Denny Head informed the board that he had <br />met with two representatives from Miller & Associates. The meeting was to discuss some of the <br />problems with the reporting system and some areas that Denny felt were not correct. Monthly <br />reports for the current year up to December have been turned in to the PHA. <br />Agenda Item 4-A. Award of contract for Rehabilitation of unit at 51013th S.E. damaged by <br />fire: <br />The Paris Housing Authority received six (6) bids for reconstruction of 510 13th S.E. One bid <br />was not accept for lack of necessary information. Bids submitted to the PHA ranged from <br />$29,740.00 to $22,935.00. EHS Construction's presented the lowest bid at $22,935.00 Motion <br />was made by Jeff Hoog to accept bid from EHS Construction, seconded by Rick Poston. <br />Agenda Item 4-B. Adopt a new internal control procedure. The internal control procedure <br />policy that was being used by the Paris Housing Authority was found to be inconclusive by the <br />TARC Agency. Denny Head made necessary changes to the internal control policy. The internal <br />control procedure explains procedures that the PHA uses when dealing with vouchers, payables, <br />payroll checks, and cash. Motion was made to accept policy by Rick Poston and seconded by <br />Jeff Hoog. <br />Agenda 4-c. Adopt revised Pet Policy. Denny Head explained that the Paris Housing Authority <br />must have a Pet Policy and that tenants must be allowed to own pets. See attached copy of pet <br />policy. Motion made by Rick Poston to accept new Pet Policy, seconded by Jeff Hoog. <br />Curtis Fendley asked for further business and their being none asked for a motion to close <br />meeting. Motion was made by Jeff Hoog and seconded by Rick Poston. <br />
