Discuss, conduct a public hearing and act on RESOLUTION NO. 2013-016: A <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING A TAX ABATEMENT AGREEMENT WITH <br />JAMES SKINNER CO.; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />PEDC Executive Director Steve Gilbert said that in December 2012 Skinner purchased <br />the former Sara Lee facility with plans to invest $25,000,000 and create 393 jobs. He stated part <br />of the local incentive package included property tax abatement and to date Skinner had spent <br />$5,600,000.
