INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR <br />CONSULTING SERVICES <br />STATE OF TEXAS ) <br />) KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: <br />COUNTY OF LAMAR ) <br />THAT, the CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, a municipal corporation, acting by and <br />through its Mayor, Michael. J. Pfiester, duly authorized, hereinafter called CITY, and the PARIS <br />INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT, acting by and through its Director of Compensatory <br />Education, Marilyn Nolan, duly authorized, hereinafter called PISD, do hereby contract and <br />agree as follows: <br />1. CITY agrees to provide the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) <br />Program for students in pre-kindergarten through grade 5 on the Givens, Justiss, <br />and Aikin campuses. <br />2. Such program will be presented for one hundred seventy-eight (178) days <br />throughout the 2002-2003 school year, such days to be mutually agreed upon by <br />CITY and PISD. <br />3. For and in consideration of the services described above, PISD agrees to pay to <br />CITY the sum of Twenty-three Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-five and no/100 <br />Dollars ($23,975.00). Such sum shall be paid out monthly during the months of <br />September 2002 through May 2003. <br />4. The term of this agreement shall be for the 2002-2003 school year. <br />Executed on the dates shown in the acknowledgments below. <br />CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS <br />By: <br />Michael J.
