A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF DEEDS OF ABANDONMENT TO THE ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNERS OF AN 80 FOOT STREET KNOWN AS 3RD STREET S.E., ABANDONED BY ORDINANCE NO. 2002- FROM THE NORTH BOUNDARY LINE OF PARIS BOULEVARD NORTH TO THE SOUTH BOUNDARY LINE OF SYCAMORE STREET; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council of the City of Paris that there is a street known as 3rd Street S.E. running north and south, beginning at the north boundary line of Paris Boulevard going north to the south boundary line of Sycamore Street; and, WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council by petition of the adjacent property owners that the street is no longer necessary or desirable by the property owners adj acent to said street, but said street is of use and necessary to the City of Paris and its citizens for drainage and utility easement purposes; and, WHEREAS, the City Council, by prior Ordinance No. 2002- adopted September 5, 2002, has authorized the City to abandon the City's interest in the aforesaid street; and; WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the City's interest in said street be conveyed to the adj acent owners on either side of said street and that drainage and utility easements be retained; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, deeds of abandonment conveying to the adjacent owners on either side of said 3rd Street S.E., in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, the City's interest in the abandoned street located between the north boundary line of Paris Boulevard going north to the south boundary line of Sycamore Street, it appearing that the real and true owners of the hereinafter described lots are as follows:
