CITY OF PARIS ' DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS UNIFORMS SPECIFICATION FOR USE IN VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS GENERAL: It is the purpose of these specifications to describe "NEW LTNIFORMS"; however, the City of Paris will receive an alternate bid for PRESENTABLE, DURABLE, and WEARABLE "USED UNIFORMS"complyingwiththespecifications. A uniform sample must be fumished with the bid. Eleven (11) sets of uniforms will be provided per employee; where applicable, cotton uniforms wilt be provided at no additional charge. Preparation chazges will include measurements, installing name and city emblems, and identification tags on garments. These charges will not be appiied to existing employees at the beginning of the contract. Each bidder shall provide three (3) references of customers presently being served by their company. All uniform rvork pants are to be nressed. Any flaws found in uniforms will be corrected at no cost to the City of Paris. REGULAR WORK PANTS and REGULAR WORK SHORTS: Style: l. Two slack-style front pockets; 2. Set-in hip pockets; 3. Slightly tapered cut; 4. Heary- duty brass ratchetina, zipper. Fabric: 1. A 65% polyester / 35% combed cotton blend, pants are 7.75 oz. per square yard of material while shoRs aze 7.5 oz. weight; 2. In the case where man-made materials cannot be wom, the fabric shall be 100% cotton, 8.5 oz. per square yard of material, preshrunk. DENIM WORK PANTS and DENIM WORK SHORTS: Style: 1. Heavyweight cotton denim; ' 2. Double-stitched seams 3. Classic 5-pocket styling Fabric: 100% cotton with 14 oz. per squaze yazd of material, durable press finish; REGULAR WORK PANTS: WOMEN Style: Half-elastic or side elastic industrial straight leg pant with heavy duty ratcheting zipper, hook and eye closure; Fabric: A 65% polyester / 35% combed cotton material, 7.5 oz. per squaze yud, durable press.
