MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />June 24, 2013 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, <br />June 24, 2013, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: A.J. Hashmi <br />Council Members: Aaron Jenkins; Billie Lancaster; John Wright; <br />Richard Grossnickle; and Cleonne Drake <br />City Staff: Gene Anderson, Interim City Manager; Kent <br />McIlyar, City Attorney; Janice Ellis, City Clerk; <br />Kent Klinkerman, EMS Director; Shawn Napier, <br />City Engineer; Larry Wright, Fire Chief; and Bob <br />Hundley, Police Chief <br />Absent: Council Member: Matt Frierson <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Hashmi called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Pastor Lazaroff gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Grossnickle led the pledge. <br />4. Citizens' Forum. <br />Connie Stauter (P.O. Box 274, Paris), Pat Cochran (1025 Johnson Woods, Paris), Kristi <br />Martin (1744 Neathery St.) and Martha Larue (1400 W. Washington St., Paris) — they asked that <br />City Council consider public transportation in planning for the future of the City. <br />Carolyn Hicks, 4180 Pine Mill Road — she said she inadvertently applied for the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission, and that she had meant to apply for the Main Street Board. <br />Barney Bray, 3230 Mahaffey — he asked if he could speak on item 18 when Council got <br />to that item and the Mayor told him yes. <br />
