City Council Meeting <br />Aug. 12. 2002 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Mr. Vest said they have completed their labor survey, which was done by <br />telephone poll, to prove that they do have a workforce. This is a good <br />statistical report that they use in recruiting industry. He also said they have a <br />wage and benefit survey that is underway, and it should be completed in the <br />next two weeks. <br /> <br />City Manager Malone announced that the Council had been furnished minutes <br />from the Paris Public Library Advisory Board, Main Street Advisory Board, <br />Airport Advisory Board, the Board of Commissioners of the Housing <br />Authority of the City of Paris, and the Band Commission, with no action being <br />required. <br /> <br />Mayor Pfiester called for the presentations by City Staff and Consultants <br />regarding City of Paris/Lamar County EMS-related issues, followed by <br />discussion and possible action. <br /> <br />City Attorney Schenk informed the City Council that what they were going to <br />attempt to go through these five items: <br /> <br />Background, financial information, and fiscal year 2001-2002 EMS <br />financial and operations status report. <br /> <br />B. Fiscal year 2002-2003 financial projections, EMS system. <br /> <br />Summary and status report, past, present, and future contracts with <br />County representative regarding EMS contract, open records requests, <br />and EMS service options. <br /> <br />Review and interpretation of current EMS contract between the City and <br />Lamar County. <br /> <br />Direction to staff regarding a presentation before the Lamar County <br />Commissioners Court concerning the status of the ambulance service and <br /> <br /> <br />
