The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />City Manager Malone called for consideration of and action on bids for <br />furnishing and delivery of Powdered Activated Carbon for use in the Water <br />Treatment Plant, and the following bids were presented: <br /> <br />NORIT Americas Inc. <br />Southwest Chemical <br />Altivia Corporation <br />US Filter-Westates Carbon <br /> <br />$0.3790 Per Pound <br />$0.3895 Per Pound <br />$0.517 Per Pound <br />$0.620 Per Pound <br /> <br />A motion was made by Councilwoman Neeley, seconded by Councilman <br />McCarthy, to award the bids to NORIT Americas Inc., in the amount of <br />$0.3790 per pound. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2002-144, approving the proposed budget for the Paris Visitors <br />and Convention Council, Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County, for the <br />fiscal year beginning October 1, 2002, and ending September 30, 2003, was <br />presented. <br />A motion was made by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman <br />Weekly, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2002-145, approving the form of the Emergency Medical <br />Services Interlocal Cooperation Contract for providing such services, and <br />authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City of Paris and the County Judge <br />of Lamar County to execute the Emergency Medical Services Interlocal <br /> <br /> <br />
