City Council Meeting <br />September 9, 2002 <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />A motion was made by Councilwoman Neeley, seconded by Councilman <br />McCarthy, awarding the bid to Fort Bend Services in the amount of $1.15 per <br />pound. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />City Manager Malone called for consideration of and action on bids for <br />furnishing and delivery of Liquid Sulfur Dioxide for use in the Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant, and the following bids were presented: <br /> <br />Brenntag Southwest <br />Harcros Chemicals <br />DPC Industries, Inc. <br /> <br />$400.00 Per Ton <br />$497.00 Per Ton <br />$575.00 Per Ton <br /> <br />A motion was made by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Bell, <br />to award the bids to Brenntag Southwest in the amount of $400.00 per ton. The <br />motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />City Manager Malone called for consideration of and action on bids for <br />furnishing and delivery of Liquid Chlorine for use in the Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant, and the following bids were presented: <br /> <br />Brenntag Southwest <br />Altivia <br />Harcros Chemicals <br />DPC Industries <br /> <br />$308.00 Per Ton <br />$439.78 Per Ton <br />$382.00 Per Ton <br />$510.00 Per Ton <br /> <br />A motion was made by Councilwoman Neeley, seconded by Councilman <br />McCarthy, to award the bids to Brenntag Southwest in the amount of $308.00 <br />per ton.
