SPECIFICATIONS ONE (1) NEW 2003 4-WHEEL DRIVE EXTEND-A-HOE LOADER Purpose: The equipment requested in these specifications shall be used in normal fleet operations in the City of Paris, Texas. Shall have ample room for radio equipment and fire extinguisher to be mounted inside cab. Shall be able to perform under conditions normally encountered in city fleet, ie., occasional flooding, extended idling, muddy conditions, and in all temperatures without adversely affecting the operation of the equipment. GENERAL BID REQUIREMENTS It is the intent of these specifications to describe a 4-Wheeled Drive Extend-a-Hoe Loader in sufficient detail to secure bids on comparable equipment. All parts not specifically mentioned, which are necessary to provide a complete Extend-a-Hoe Loader shall be included in the bid and shall conform in strength and quality of material and workmanship to what is usually provided the trade in general. The Extend-a-Hoe Loader shall be a current model under standard production by the manufacturer. Any units not conforming to these specifications will be rejected, and it will be the responsibility of the manufacturer to conform with the requirements unless deviations have been cited by the bidder and acceptance made on the basis of the acceptance. Equipment shall be delivered fully serviced, adjusted and ready for operation. All repairs or modifications needed for normal operation shall be made to the satisfaction of the City of Paris. Replacement parts and service department shall be maintained with 150 miles of the City of Paris. Service Department shall be staffed with qualified service men, shall stock a representative parts supply (especially fast wear items), and shall have provisions for securing parts from the manufacturer. The successful bidder or manufacturer shall provide an instructor for a training session at the City of Paris Fleet Maintenance Garage. This training shall orient city personnel on the operation and mechanical features of the equipment purchased.
