Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (June 2, 2013) <br />3. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition Texas Pro Signs on Lot 1, <br />Block A, of the Mirabeau Square 287 Addition, being located at 3594 Lamar Avenue. To <br />grant a variance of Section 28 -23(2) of the Sign Ordinance which provides that "If the <br />leased or occupied fascia length has multiple frontages, an attached sign may be placed on <br />each frontage in a size not to exceed one(1) square foot of face area per front foot of leased <br />or occupied fascia length; however, signs located on the back of a development shall be <br />limited to one (1) square foot of face area per back foot of leased or occupied fascia length <br />not to exceed thirty- two (32) square feet, whichever is smaller." The lease space is <br />20 -feet wide. The maximum allowable signage is therefore 20 square feet per frontage <br />(40 square foot total). The applicant is asking for 29.5 square feet of sign area on both the <br />front and rear of the building (59 square foot total). The variance request is for 19 square <br />feet. <br />4. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition Guy Slimp (Food Fast <br />Corporation) on Lot 1, Block A, of the CEFCO #1097 Addition, being located at 3750 <br />Lamar Avenue. To grant a variance of Section 28 -8(h) of the Sign Ordinance which <br />provides that "total sign face area of all permanent signs combined on one property, <br />including ground signs, pole signs, attached signs, etc. shall not exceed one (1) square foot <br />per front foot of property line, or maximum of the three hundred (300) square feet, at any <br />time." The lot width is 289 -feet. The maximum allowable signage is therefore 289 <br />square feet. The applicant is asking for 342 square feet, which is a 53 square foot variance <br />over the maximum allowable signage. <br />5. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition Jesse Fleming on Lot 3, <br />Block E, of the Suburban Estates, being located at 1125 Mockingbird Lane. <br />A. To grant a variance of Zoning Ordinance 1710, Section 15 -102 which provides "If <br />a structure occupied by a nonconforming use is destroyed by fire, the elements or <br />other cause, it may not be rebuilt except to conform to the provisions of this <br />ordinance. In the case of partial destruction of a nonconforming use not exceeding <br />seventy -five (75) percent of its reasonable value, reconstruction will be permitted <br />
