MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />August 26, 2013 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, <br />August 26, 2013, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: A.J. Hashmi <br />Council Members: Aaron Jenkins; Billie Lancaster; John Wright; <br />Richard Grossnickle; Matt Frierson; and Cleonne <br />Drake <br />City Staff: John Godwin, City Manager; Gene Anderson, <br />Finance Director; Kent McIlyar, City Attorney; <br />Janice Ellis, City Clerk; Shawn Napier, City <br />Engineer; Kent Klinkerman, EMS Director; Larry <br />Wright, Fire Chief, Bob Hundley, Police Chief; <br />Doug Harris, Utilities Director; Alan Efrussy, <br />Planning Director; and Priscilla McAnally, Library <br />Director <br />Opening Agenda <br />Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Hashmi called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Reverend Slaughter gave the invocation. <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Grossnickle led the pledge. <br />3. Citizens' Forum. <br />Carl Cecil, 305 Lamar Avenue — he wanted to know if there would be public comment <br />after item 20. Mayor Hashmi said there would not be public comment after the presentation, but <br />it would be posted for further discussion as a separate agenda item for the next regular council <br />meeting. <br />William Strathern, 4905 Trails End, Paris Texas - he requested to be placed on the <br />agenda of the next regularly scheduled city council meeting to discuss the results of his study <br />into the recent PEDC activities. He said through the open records act, he requested credit card <br />expenditures and recently additional data on items which may represent questionable activities <br />
