MINUTES <br />TRAFFIC COMMISSION <br />City of Paris <br /> <br />The Traffic Commission met in regular session Tuesday, February 4, 2003, <br />at 5:15 P.M. in the Municipal Court Room with the following members <br />present: <br /> <br />1. Ed Ellis <br />2. Mary Lane <br />3. George Robinson <br /> <br />4. Ed Seidle <br /> 5. George Kimbrough <br /> <br />The city staff was represented by Assistant Police Chief James Barnett. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 5:15 P.M. by Chairman George <br />Robinson. <br /> <br />The minutes of the Sept. 4, 2001, meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />The first item of business was a request for a No Parking Zone in the 400 <br />block of East Kaufman Street on the North side of the street. <br /> <br />After learning that this was a request from the post office due to vehicles <br />parked in this area blocking mail trucks and had been recommended by <br />Police Chief Karl Louis Ed Seidle made a motion to recommend installing <br />the signs as requested. Mary Lane seconded and the motion carried 5 ayes <br />to 0 nays. <br /> <br />The second item was a request for Stop Signs in The Hills subdivision at the <br />following locations: <br /> <br />1. On Abby Lane at Darnell Drive stopping East and West bound traffic on <br />Abby Lane at Darnell Drive. <br /> <br />2. On Darnell Drive at North Hills Drive stopping East and West bound <br /> <br /> <br />
