A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE ROUTINE AIRPORT MAINTENANCE PROGRAM (RAMP) GRANT; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT FOR TXDOT PROJECT NO. AM2003PARIS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation provides funding for Routine Airport Maintenance Program (RAMP) grants; and, WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation, Aviation Division, has issued its Grant Award entitled "Grant for Routine Airport Maintenance Program," TxDOT Project No. AM2003PARIS, in the total amount of $1,200.00, with the City of Paris providing $1,200.00 in matching funds; and, WHEREAS, acceptance of the same requires the execution of a Grant Agreement by and between the City of Paris and the Texas Department of Transportation, and it is deemed to be in the best interests of the citizens of Paris that the City of Paris accept said Grant Award to replace the automatic gate operator at the Cox Field Airport entrance; and, WHEREAS, the form of the Grant Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the "Grant for Routine Airport Maintenance Program," TxDOT Project No. AM2003PARIS, in the total amount of $1,200.00, with the City of Paris providing $1,200.00 in matching funds, be, and the same is hereby, accepted. Section 3. That the form of Grant Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same is hereby, approved.
