James Proctor <br /> <br />The City Council in December 2002, revised the Code of Ordinances <br />to repeal outdated provisions relating to requirements for an Airport <br />Security Division and Joint Airport Zoning Board. Also, to omit <br />certain requirements of permits for aeronautical activities relating to <br />fire, rescue and emergency training and serving as a volunteer on the <br />fire and rescue crew. The final deletion related to Aircraft Charter <br />Service, deleting Section 6-28 Section 2, stating ready to depart within <br />a specified maximum notice period of twelve (12) hours. This action <br />was taken at the request of the Airport Board. <br /> <br />The City Council in December took action on the aviation permits that <br />were recommended to them by the Airport Board. All permits were <br />granted as requested to J.B. Richey, Inc., David Jones, Jimmy Smyers <br />and Knox Sprayers. <br /> <br />Mr. Haynes reported that he had spoken to City Attorney Larry Schenk <br />and that he was ready to go forward with the contract when he was <br />assured that the total installation charge would be under $25,000.00. <br />Mr. Schenk requested that J.B. Richey have the plans and diagram <br />forwarded to our City Engineer, Shawn Napier, for review. <br /> <br />Mr. Haynes advised that the gate operator could not be repaired. Mike <br />Boswell of Electron Security advised that he could install and new <br />gate operator for $2,400.00. Mr. Haynes called TxDOT Aviation and <br /> <br /> <br />
