MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />Monday, December 16, 2002 <br />3:00 P.M. <br /> <br />The Building and Standards Commission Meeting was called to order by <br />Chad Brown at 3:00P.M. <br /> <br />The roll was called by Brad Archer. <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br />Chad Brown Mary Crumpler <br />Brad Archer Lucius Joe, Jr. <br />Harrell Tippitt Ward Hall <br />Pike Burkhart <br /> <br />The following members were absent: <br />Tommy Robinson Mark Rothfuss <br />Vic Ressler Billy Hill <br /> <br />Introduction to City Staff.' <br />Mr. Tommy Haynes introduced the Commission to the members of the City Staff <br />present at the meeting. <br /> <br />General discussion of function of the Substandard and Dangerous Buildings <br />and Structures Ordinance: <br />City Attorney, Mr. Larry Schenk discussed the ordinance and fielded questions <br />from the members of the Commission. <br /> <br />Update of status of how the work by the staff will be brought to the <br />Commission: <br />City Attorney, Mr. Larry Schenk described what is to be expected concerning the <br />presentation of cases for consideration by the Commission. <br /> <br />Discussion and possible action regarding rules to conduct meetings and <br />public hearings: <br />This issue was tabled and no action was taken. The Commission members felt <br />they did not have the information needed to take action at this time. <br /> <br />Reconfirm the time and meeting dates of each meeting: <br />A motion was made by Ward Hall, seconded by Brad Archer that the meeting <br />time and date remain the same. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
