DRAFT <br /> <br />F:~Attorney\LisakResolutions\CURRENTkP&Z - 4-03.wpd <br /> April 11, 2003 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE PLANNING AND <br />ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARIS TO SERVE THE <br />UNEXPIRED TERM OF WILLIAM H. COLEMAN, WHICH ENDS <br />DECEMBER 31, 2003; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission due to the resignation of William H. Coleman, and it is necessary to appoint his <br />successor; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the appointment of <br />Carl Lucas to serve the unexpired term of William H. Coleman, which ends December 31,2003; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things <br />approved. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That Carl Lucas be, and he is hereby, appointed to serve the unexpired term <br />of William H. Coleman, which ends December 31, 2003, as a member of the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission of the City of Paris. <br /> <br />Section 3.
