At <br /> least one person trained in first aid procedures including CPR shall <br /> be on duty at all times work is being done. <br /> <br /> 1.6.5 Employees shall be trained in evacuation procedures in the event of <br /> workplace emergencies. <br /> <br /> 1.6.5.1 For non-life-threatening situations - employees injured or <br /> otherwise incapacitated shall decontaminate following normal <br /> procedures with assistance from fellow workers if necessary, <br /> before exiting the workplace to obtain proper medical <br /> treatment. <br /> <br /> 1.6.5.2 For life-threatening injury or illness, worker decontamination <br /> shall take least priority after measures to stabilize the <br /> injured worker, remove him from the workplace and secure <br /> proper medical treatment. <br /> <br /> 1.6.6 Telephone numbers of all emergency response persorunel shall be <br /> prominently posted in the clean change area or on an adjacent <br /> bulletin board along with the location of the nearest telephone. <br /> <br />1.7 Pre-Start Meeting <br /> <br /> 1.7.1 The Contractor shall attend a pre-start job meeting to be scheduled <br /> by mutual agreement of the Owner's Representative and the Contractor. <br /> Attending this meeting will be Owner's Representative and the Owner's <br /> agents along with testing/monitoring personnel (e.g. Asbestos <br /> Project Manager, Air Sampling Professional) who will participate in <br /> the Owner's testing/monitoring program if this is not done by the <br /> Owner's representative. <br /> <br /> 1.7.2 The Contractor a/id supervisory personnel who will provide on-site <br /> direction of the abatement activities must attend. The Contractor's <br /> Air Sampling Professional if required or utilized shall also attend. <br /> <br /> 1.7.3 At this meeting the Contractor shall provide all submittals as <br /> required in Section 1.4.1.1 and 1.6. In addition he shall be <br /> prepared to provide detailed information concerning job sequence of <br /> work and performance schedule. <br /> <br /> Part 2 Materials and Equipme~t <br /> <br /> 2.1 Materials <br /> <br /> 2.1.1 General (all abatement projects) <br /> <br /> 2.1.1.1 Deliver all materials in the original packages, containers or <br /> bundles bearing the name of the manufacturer and the brand <br /> name (where applicable). <br /> <br /> 2.1.1.2 Store all materials subject to damage off the ground, away <br /> from wet or damp surfaces and under cover sufficient enough to <br /> <br /> 4/11/03 51 <br /> <br /> <br />
