MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />Monday, April 21, 2003 <br />3:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Chad Brown called the Building and Standards Commission Meeting to <br />order at 3:00P.M. <br /> <br />Brad Archer called the roll. <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br />Chad Brown Mary Crumpler <br />Brad Archer Harrell Tippitt <br />Pike Burkhart <br /> <br />The following members were absent: <br />Tommy Robinson Mark Rothfuss <br />Vic Ressler Billy Hill <br />Ward Hall Lucius Joe, Jr. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes of January 27, 2003: <br />A motion was made by Chad Brown to approve the meeting minutes, and Harrell <br />Tippitt seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Pass out to members of the Commission the adopted rules to conduct <br />meetings and public hearings: <br />John Lestock, Assistant City Attorney, presented the rules to the Commission. <br />Mr. Lestock and Mr. Haynes led the Commission in discussion and interaction <br />regarding the rules as they were previously approved. <br /> <br />Status on identification of burned out homes for possible demolition: <br />Tommy Haynes passed out case files of several burned out homes for the review <br />of the Commission. These files were presented to demonstrate the types of cases <br />that would be reviewed in the near future. Some of the cases presented were to be <br />further reviewed for historical significance and for Owner location. This more <br />detailed review will be necessary to ensure that the first cases reviewed by the <br />Commission will be successful. It is hoped that the success of these cases will <br />demonstrate the effectiveness of the Building and Standards Commission. <br /> <br /> <br />
