City Council Water & Sewer Subcommittee <br />May 15, 2003 <br />Page 40 <br /> <br />Neeley and Councilman Weekly get back with him before the last week in May, <br />and see if Mayor Fendley wants to set a special meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Campbell wanted to know if they are going to a try to adopt the water rates <br />by June 1 st. City Manager Malone advised that they were unsure because they <br />are still in the process of talking with Campbell Soup and these issues must be <br />worked through. Chairman Plata stated that by the end of May they needed to <br />be finished. <br /> <br />Councilwoman Neeley suggested that the issue be taken to the City Council on <br />the last week in May and then, if the City Council is not satisfied, the Mayor <br />can provide another direction. <br /> <br />Chairman Plata told Mr. Anderson that, regarding the shifts he had <br />recommended that there is a problem with the overtime, and said he would get <br />with Mr. Gill at Kimberly-Clark and see how they handle the four day shift. <br /> <br />Ms. Wims pointed out that wages are considerably higher at Kimberly-Clark <br />than at the City of Paris and you have to keep that in mind. <br /> <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />BENNY PLATA, CHAIRMAN <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />MATTIE CUNNINGHAM, CITY CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
