MINUTES <br /> <br />Friday, April 25, 2003 Meeting <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />City of Paris, Texas <br />Santa Fe-Frisco Depot ' <br />Chamber Confererice Room <br />West Kaufman Street, 4:00 PM <br /> Item One: The meeting was called to order by Arvin Starrett, chairman, at 4:00 PM. <br /> Item Two: The roll was called by Paul Denney, Recording Secretary. The following Commission <br /> members were present: <br /> <br />Arvin Starrett <br />Ann Rogers <br />Paul Denney <br />Claudia Hunt <br />Jerry Raper <br />Barbara Wilson <br />Beeki Norment <br /> <br />The following Commission members were absent: <br /> <br />Linda Ryan <br />Sue Lancaster <br /> <br />The following guest was recognized: <br /> <br />Susie Harper <br /> <br />Item Three: Commission members discussed the April 3, 2003 public hearing. It was noted that the <br />proposed downtown historic overlay district would be presented at the May 5, 2003 Planning and Zoning <br />Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Item Four: Commission members discussed four historic surcey proposals. Four firms presented <br />proposals for consideration. These were: Diane Williams, M ry Salterelli, SWCA and Architexas. <br /> <br />Item Five: Commission members discussed possible action to request approval from the City Council to <br />apply for a grant from the Certified Local Government Division of the Texas Historical Commission to <br />pay for an updated Historic Survey. It was noted that Community Development Director, Tommy <br />Haynes will be asking for a $25,000.00 line it'em in the upcoming budget year for the activities of the City <br />&Paris Historic Preservation Commission. The motion was made by Barbara Wilson to table action on <br />this item.
