Service Rules and Regulations - Obtaining Gas Service <br />APPLICABLE TO: Distribution System REVISION: 0 <br /> DATE: <br /> <br />EFFECTIVE DATE: PAGE: 4 of 6 <br /> <br /> service, did not have more than one occasion in which a bill for utility service was <br /> paid after becoming delinquent, and never had service disconnected for <br /> nonpayment; or <br /> <br /> (b) the residential Applicant furnishes in writing a satisfactory credit <br /> reference from another utility; or <br /> <br /> (c) the residential Applicant furnishes a satisfactory credit rating by a <br /> national credit reporting agency, a surety bond from an institution approved by <br /> Company, or a satisfactory irrevocable letter of credit issued by a bank <br /> acceptable to Company; or <br /> <br /> (d) the Applicant is sixty-five (65) years of age or older and such Applicant <br /> has not had a delinquent account balance with Company within the last two (2) <br /> years. Company may require that an Applicant for residential service who claims <br /> a deposit exemption under this part provide to Company proof of age. <br /> <br /> (5) Commercial or Industrial Exemption <br /> A commercial or industrial Applicant will not be required to make a cash deposit if: <br /> <br /> (a) the Applicant is an existing Customer of Company with an account of <br /> similar usage, is not delinquent in payment on the existing account, during the <br /> last twelve (12) consecutive months of service did not have more than one <br /> occasion in which a bill for utility service was paid after becoming delinquent, and <br /> never had the existing service disconnected for nonpayment; or <br /> <br /> (b) the Applicant has been a Customer of any utility for the same class of <br /> service with a similar Icad within the last two (2) years, is not delinquent in <br /> payment of any such utility service account, during the last twelve (12) <br /> consecutive months of service did not have more than one occasion in which a <br /> bill for utility service was paid after becoming delinquent, and never had service <br /> disconnected for nonpayment; or <br /> <br /> (c) the Applicant furnishes a satisfactory credit rating by a national credit <br /> reporting agency, a surety bond from an institution approved by Company, or a <br /> satisfactory irrevocable letter of credit issued by a bank acceptable to Company. <br /> <br /> (6) Re-establishment of Credit <br /> Every Applicant who has previously been a Customer of Company and whose service <br /> has been discontinued for nonpayment of bills, before service is re-established, must pay <br /> all delinquent amounts due Company, a connect charge, and a deposit as required by <br /> these Service Regulations, or execute a written deferred payment agreement, if offered <br /> by Company, and must re-establish credit as provided in these Service Regulations. In <br /> case of discontinuance of service for nonpayment of bills or any violation of or non- <br /> compliance with any rule or regulation of Company, Customer must pay Company a <br /> reconnect charge in advance for re-establishing Gas Service on Customer's premises. <br /> <br /> -57- <br /> <br /> <br />
