DEFINITIONS: <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT FOR GAS SERVICE A written contract between Company and Customer uncter which <br /> Company provides Gas Service. <br /> <br />APARTMENT HOUSE. A building or buildings containing more than four Dwelling Units all of which are <br />rented primarily for nontransient use, with rental paid at intervals of one week or longer. Apartment House <br />includes residential condominiums, whether rented or owner occupied. <br /> <br />APPLICANT. A person or entity who requests Gas Service from Company. The inauguration of Gas <br />Service to an Applicant by Company does not indicate that Company has inspected Customer's gas piping <br />or appliances or determined the piping and appliances to be safe or adequate. <br /> <br />BULK TRANSMISSION. The large diameter, high pressure pipeline from the Waha Hub to the Katy Hub, <br />including the large diameter lateral pipeline connecting to the Bethel storage. <br /> <br />CITY GATE CUSTOMER. A customer who purchases City Gate Service under Rate CGS. <br /> <br />CODES. Codes governing gas installations. <br /> <br />COMMERCIAL CUSTOMER. A customer who has a North American Industry Classification System <br />Code beginning with 11, 22 (other than electric generation), 23, 41-46, 48, 49, 51-56, 61, 62, 71, 72, <br />81, or 91-93 or any other end-use customer to which no other rate schedule applies. <br /> <br />COMMISSION. The Railroad Commission of Texas. <br /> <br />COMPANY. TXU Gas Company, its successors, and its assigns. <br /> <br />CUSTOMER. An individual, partnership, association, joint Venture, corporation, etc., or governmental <br />agency who is receiving or who is receiving the benefit of gas service at a specified point of delivery. <br /> <br />CUSTOMER'S GAS INSTALLATION. All pipes, equipment, or facilities of any kind on Customer's side of <br />the Point of Delivery, except Company's metering equipment, used by Customer in taking Gas Service. <br /> <br />DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM. That portion of the TXU Gas System that is comprised of distribution <br />pipelines, Main Lines, and Service Lines that are located on the load side of city gates. <br /> <br />DWELLING UNIT. A room or rooms suitable for occupancy as a residence containing kitchen and <br />bathroom facilities. <br /> <br />GAS DAY. The period beginning at 9:00 a.m. on one calendar day and ending at 9:00 a.m. on the <br />following calendar day. <br /> <br />GAS MAINS. Company's distribution pipelines that receive natural gas from city gate stations and <br />transport such natural gas to Service Lines. <br /> <br />GAS SERVICE. The transportation and provision of natural gas made available by Company at the Point <br />of Delivery. <br /> <br /> -8- <br /> <br /> <br />
