TARIFF FOR GAS SERVICE TXU GAS COMPANY <br /> <br /> RATE SCHEDULE: 4 Definitions I <br /> APPLICABLE TO: Entire System REVISION: 0 <br /> DATE: <br /> <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE: PAGE: 3 OF 3 <br /> <br />SERVICE LINE. A distribution line that transports gas from a common source of supply to a customer's <br />meter. A distribution line that extends c~nto private property; serves no more than two adjacent, private, <br />single-family residences separated by a property line; and terminates at a customer's meter is considered <br />a Service Line. <br /> <br />STATE AGENCY. (A) a department, commission, board, office, or other agency that: <br /> (i) is in the executive branch of state government; <br /> (ii) has authority that is not limited to a geographical portion of the state; and <br /> (iii) was created by the Texas Constitution or a statute of this state; <br /> (B) a university system or institution of higher education as defined by Section <br /> 61.003, Education Code, other than a public junior college; or <br /> (C) a river authority created under the Texas Constitution or a statute of this state. <br /> <br />TEMPORARY GAS SERVICE. Gas Service provided to Customer for a single, continuous period of time, <br />which is less than twelve consecutive months, except that Gas Service provided dunng construction <br />activities, even though provided for a continuous period of time in excess of twelve months, is considered <br />to be Temporary Gas Service. <br /> <br />TRANSPORTATION SERVICE CUSTOMER. Customers who procure their own gas supplies and for whom <br />the Company provides delivery service on the TXU Gas System. <br /> <br />UTILIZATION CONTRACT. A contract by which the Customer estimates and communicates to Company <br />the amount of gas usage required for the Company's extension. If such usage materializes and is verified <br />within a specified period of time, Company will reimburse Customer all or a portion of the installation costs <br />as outlined in the contract. <br /> <br /> -10- <br /> <br /> <br />
